Below are some examples of our recent projects.
We have many more to show, so feel free to contact us for other ideas and images.
After completing a bathroom refurbishment in this lovely town house, this client asked for us to quote for a rear extension and kitchen. Our fantastic designer Joanne, from design and conker, drew up plans and after a few meetings we got to work. The plan was to remove the existing conservatory and build a full width extension and remove the internal walls. We also created a new cloakroom toilet and refurbished the utility room. Wet underfloor heating was installed throughout, as this has always been a predominantly cold room that the client was reluctant to spend time in. She now has a both stunning and warm ground floor to enjoy.
The existing divided kitchen, conservatory and dining area was a dark and sometimes cold area that was in need of modernisation.
The aim was to create a large open space for cooking, dining with natural light and a cozy lounge area. The bifolding doors and large roof lantern allow lots of natural light to flood in and bring the garden inside when the doors are open.
Here we installed a wet underfloor heating system. Where no removal of the existing screed was required, as the insulation boards are stuck directly to the existing surface, and the pipes run in pre cut grooves, only adding 20mm to the existing floor height. A modern condensing boiler was also installed, bringing the heating system up to date and with the addition of energy saving controls.
This kitchen was chosen by the customer and supplied by Wren kitchens and installed by us. The ceiling mounted extractor fan works brilliantly by not interrupting the view across the room and into the garden.
The tiled floor worked really well with underfloor heating, by retaining the heat and having a lovely feel under foot.
This enabled the television to be sunk into the wall, but still able to pull it out and rotate towards kitchen and garden on a clever bracket. The remote control as fire is a great addition and gives that cozy feeling.
Here we removed a rather strange, full length walk in wardrobe and re-configured the room to have a large full width dressing room, large bedroom and generous en-suite. We also constructed bespoke bedside storage and shelving to include inset lighting and clad with cedar, to compliment the cedar cladding on the house frontal. Both the bedroom and dressing room were split by Oak pocket doors, hidden inside the dividing wall.
The existing set up was very strange and served very little purpose due to the design. A much needed re-design was required to make use of this wonderful space.
This system allowed us to hide pocket doors in a wall without it being big and bulky. The pocket door frames become part of the wall structure therefor giving a finished wall thickness of only 120mm.
Once the wall was plastered and decorated the frame work would never need to be seen again. Having the pocket doors maximises the use of the rooms, due to not having to allow for the swing of conventional doors into the room.
The dressing and walk-in-wardrobe room has freed up all the space from the bedroom, creating a nice open feel with no clutter.
The client requested plenty of storage for books and magazines so we constructed bespoke units either side of the bed space. The units included lighting, USB charging points and finished in Cedar cladding.
A modern update to the tired old ensuite finished of the whole project nicely.
This customer gave us a brief about a separate room she would like for her poetry classes at the end of the garden, with the intent of also having running water and electricity. We constructed the garden building from a timber frame, fully insulated and clad in Canadian cedar. Inside the summer house there was a plater finish with ample lighting and roof lights for extra natural light. We then went onto carry out landscaping in the garden.
A disused space in the garden was the perfect place for the building to go, once the area was cleared we gained an insight of the space we had to work with.
A solid concrete base was laid and waterproof membrane installed. Floor construction complete and we started the construction of the frame.
Frame construction completed and weathering membrane installed ready to go over the top. France doors and side lights install and base work complete for patio installation.
Building complete and all connections made to services. New pathway through garden laid and patio complete.
To rear of building we installed an outdoors shower area and dog wash.
View from inside the building which was fully insulated and double glazed. This is the benefit of having a bespoke unit built over most of the shelve products, we can achieve a much higher finish and a more durable product.
Joanne from Design and Conker asked if we could fulfil this project for her, we jumped at the chance as this was going to make such a difference to the house. The kitchen and utility room was to be completely re-configured, installation of wet underfloor heating and separate lighting zones.
The existing kitchen was very dated and the layout didn't lend itself well to modern day living.
Design brief - Joanne was asked to re-configure the whole kitchen, to make the space much more user friendly and modern whilst keeping some traditional aspects to the kitchen to complement the period of the house.
The room was always very cold, so we installed a wet underfloor heating resulting in a warm and cosy room.
By making use of the existing structural walls, which were used to house a large oven. we now have a great preparation space, with ovens in a tower adjacent to it.
Finished product, completes the classic contemporary look whilst keeping some of the original features of the house.
Carried on the same units and worktop into the utility room, creating a seamless transition from kitchen to utility room.
As bathroom specialist we can provide you with the bathroom of your dreams - from design, supply and installation.
We started off with a dated bathroom area in need of some TLC.
The room itself had a vintage feel to it, but needed a modern day twist to bring it back to life.
We decided to keep the split walls, and refresh the white tiles and go with a deep grey colour on the top half of the bathroom walls.
We kept the white detailing on the bathroom furniture and adapted the vintage feel of the room.
Additionally, we re-tiled the floor. With a strong patterned floor it still gave off the timeless twist as before, but brought it into the 21st century.
Satisfying customers is our top priority. That’s why we believe in offering fair and transparent prices with no hidden fees or extra charges.
